The Seed Crushers and Oil Processors Association (SCOPA) is the trade association for companies engaged in oilseed extraction and oil/fat processing in the United Kingdom.
Collectively, SCOPA Members produce, on an annual basis, more than 1.3 million tonnes of refined oils and fats, and over 1.25 million tonnes of high protein meals.

The key objectives of SCOPA are to promote the common interest of it's membership through dealings with Government and other regulatory bodies. SCOPA represents the interests of the industry within the EU through it's membership of FEDIOL, the European Association.
Seed Crushing
SCOPA members operating crushing plants handle both homegrown and imported seeds. UK grown rapeseed accounts for more than two thirds of the whole crush. The extraction process results in the production of crude vegetable oils and high protein meals for animal feed.
Imported seeds comprise primarily soyabeans and sunflower seed plus smaller quantities of palm kernels, maize germ and certain other speciality seeds.
Oil Processing
Refining members process these crude vegetable oils as well as other imported vegetable oils, fish oils and animal fats, to produce a range of refined oils and fats for both food and non-food use.
